IN-APP PURCHASES

The Brew Delivery System (BDS) now offers in-app purchases via Application Value Billing (A-VB) to generate revenue beyond money made on the initial application download itself. Now your applications can create on-demand, incremental in-app purchases, allowing consumers to "up-grade" additional content and features, while you leverage an entirely new revenue stream. Below are some key resources:

• Registered VDC Brew developers may download the Verizon Wireless Application Value Billing document, which provides details on mandatory Vendor Data Element Specifications that a Value Billing Application running on the VZW Brew environment must supply to the Brew Application Download Server on every purchase transaction. • Visit the Brew MP developer website for additional information on Application Value-Billing (A-VB) from Qualcomm. This site explains in-app purchases, including key requirements. Please note that only Brew developers can request an AVB amendment. Developers must become Brew authenticated to start the AVB process.
